Geeta Mohandas, is a devotional singer with a heart-rendering melodious voice. A specialist in singing Ayyappan, Murugan and Krishna Devotional songs, her area of expertise includes religious hymns. If asked to name her favorite, she would certainly choose Ayyappan Songs through which she can express his innermost love towards the Divine.
He was born and brought up in a conservative family in Tirunelveli in 1950. Yet against all odds she started learning Carnatic music from the age of 4 from her Gurus Ms. Aydiamma and Mrs.Rajambal. Her Parents, always whole-heartedly encouraged and supported his pursuit of music. She have learned Traditional Dance to in her younger ages.
Later she studied MBBS and started practicing as a Professional Doctor (Gynecologist). On Top of it she received a President Award for her Academics excellence in MBBS Studies.
She made her first visit to Swami Ayyappa in Sabarimala on Nov 18,2017 which turned her devotional life totally. She got an inner feel of divinity which made to pen down devotional lyrics from Nov 20,2017. As a call from God, she started to write down devotional lyrics for Lords Ayyappan, Murugan, Krishna, Amman in between of her prayer. She has now penned down more than 400+ lyrics out of which 240+ are recorded and 100+ are uploaded in Youtube in her own Channel Geeth Music.
She believes, “Music is a vast mystic ocean ruled by the Gods themselves and She is God’s mere vessel trying to explore its realm.
